One to One Guidance at Your Workplace

Once your organisation has entered into a salary packaging arrangement, AccessPay provide you with an opportunity to talk face to face with one of our salary packaging specialists. We will come to your workplace, and spend time with you to establish the best structure for your salary package.

It's important for us to be able to talk with you not only about how salary packaging works, but how it can work for you. It also gives you an opportunity to get to know the people you will be speaking with about your salary packaging arrangement in the future!

We will provide guidance on how to set up your arrangements, what paperwork to provide, and how to maximise your entitlement. If you are unable to meet with us on site, we will make alternative arrangements.

Your Account Management

AccessPay will collaboratively monitor and manage your salary packaging account in order to maximise your salary packaging entitlement and to ensure that your package is administered in accordance with your organisations salary packaging policy and our Quality principles.

Our specialist knowledge of the salary packaging environment and expertise in the area will ensure that your salary packaging arrangement is compliant, robust and provides you with the maximum benefit.

Benefit Types and Payment Options

AccessPay will work closely with you to ensure that your salary package is tailored to suit your indiviual needs. We, therefore, provide you with a number of flexible benefit and payment options, including: 

  • A regular payment is set up in our custom written administration system to electronically transfer to the account or creditor of your choosing. All you need to do is provide evidence of the debt and let us know who to pay, how much, and how often.
  • An 'ad hoc' payment is a payment (generally a once-off) made either to an outstanding invoice, or an invoice that you have already paid for.
  • A salary packaging card offers greater choice about how, when and where you would like to access your salary package. A Salary Packaging Card can be used anywhere Visa© would normally be accepted, and also has full internet and phone banking facilities. You can use the card to pay for their petrol, to go shopping, or to pay bills online. 

General Living Expenses

Up to $15,900 a year* (eg. $611.54 per fortnight) of your pre-tax income can be salary packaged to General Living Expenses. This is a benefit granted by the Federal Government for eligible organisations, such as those in the Not for Profit sector, and made available to you through your employer.

General Living Expenses can include:

  • Rent or mortgage payments
  • Credit card and personal loan payments
  • Expenses via a Salary Packaging Card
  • Household utilities costs such as gas, electricity and water
  • Car expenses including petrol and registration
  • Health insurance premiums
  • And much more!

To assist you to establish and manage your salary packaging payments effectively, you will be required to provide certain documentation. This will ensure we correctly administer payments on your behalf.

 

Entertainment Benefits 

Entertainment Benefits are available in addition to the General Living Expense annual limit of $15,900 per FBT year, and have a separate limit of $2,650. This is an added bonus for eligible employees and a terrific way to achieve further income tax savings. From 1 April 2016 Entertainment Benefits are Reportable Fringe Benefits and will appear on your PAYG payment summary at the end of the financial year.

 

It is important to note that salary packaging entertainment benefits may impact education debt (i.e. HELP, HECS) repayments, child support payments and Centrelink payments. Speak with your AccessPay advisor for questions on setting up a salary package arrangement that works best for you.

 

Entertainment Benefits include:

Meal Entertainment: Dine out tax-free! 
This benefit allows you to salary package costs such as:

  • Meals and drinks consumed at a restaurant, cafe, tavern or hotel
  • External supplier costs paid by you for catering a private event
  • Taxi fares incurred travelling to and from a restaurant, café, tavern or hotel

 

Holiday Accommodation and Hire: Go on a holiday, hire a car, hire a function venue and more, tax-free!
This benefit allows you to salary package costs such as:

  • Holiday accommodation (including a hotel or motel room, an apartment or holiday house)
  • Car hire whilst on holidays 
  • Hire of a reception venue, private function room or marquee

The opportunity to package these additional benefits will depend on your employer’s Salary Packaging Policy.

Novated Leases and Car Management*

Subject to employer policy, AccessPay can offer independent guidance in relation to and administration of car leases. Our administration can be for 'finance only' arrangements through to fully maintained operation leases. Importantly, this service is independent of the financiers, and maintains competitive pressures that contribute to achieving the best outcome.

Reporting and Online Access

In addition to online access to your account, AccessPay will provide regular statements to you that show details of your salary packaging receipts and payments.

Fact Sheets and Information Services

AccessPay provide online access to Fact Sheets and Information Services that will answer your questions about salary packaging. Please see the Fact Sheet Library to download these fact sheets or read them on-screen. Of course you can also contact AccessPay about any questions you may have.

Frequent Values™ Benefits Program

Employees choosing to utilise the convenient Salary Packaging or Meal Entertainment card will also receive access to Frequent Values™. This is a complimentary membership provided as part of AccessPay’s extensive benefits program. The program provides access to a great range of savings on dining, accommodation, attractions and cinema tickets across Australia and New Zealand. Frequent Values™ membership can be used multiple times across the many participating restaurants and venues or to access offers online.

Mortgage Review Service

AccessPay can facilitate an independent Mortgage Health Check, through Credo Financial Group. This Review Service can assist you to confirm your current loan is right for you or support you to refinance your home loan at a lower cost, reduce your interest payments, release some equity for renovations and achieve the best financial outcome for your situation.

AccessPay's office hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm Central Standard Time, excluding public holidays that are observed in South Australia.

In addition, you have the ability to access your account via the secure section of this website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Part of our collaborative approach to our salary packaging administration includes the issue of a payment confirmation email each time we make a payment on your behalf. This email provides important information about payments made and your account balance. Our secure website section includes not just information about what receipts and payments we have administered on your behalf, but also about scheduled payments to be made.
